Do you avoid inviting friends over because your home is in a constant state of chaos? Perhaps you find yourself overbuying everyday items because you can't locate what you already have.      While my journey into professional organizing came later in life, I grew up in an organized household and learned at an early age the value of keeping things in their designated places.  Linens belonged in the linen closet, tools were neatly stored in the toolbox, and milk found its home in the refrigerator. I witnessed firsthand the chaos that ensued when things were out of place, like the time my brother's pet snake went missing, turning our home into a frenzy until it was safely returned to its cage. The sense of calm that prevails when our stuff is where it belongs can be a game-changer! Many of my organizing clients have shared similar experiences, as that sense of serenity washes over them when their possessions have found a “home” and their visual field is uncluttered.

     I was born and raised in Southern California where I spent several years as an adaptive PE teacher before transitioning to an exercise consultant after receiving my Master’s degree.  In 1995, my husband and I left California with our three young boys in tow, making Virginia our home.  I worked as a fundraising consultant while they were growing up, using them to peddle the gift wrap and chocolates my company featured in their sales catalogs.  I feel like I’ve come full-circle as I often discover these very gift wraps in many of my client’s homes!   When I’m not organizing, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, bicycling on local trails, and spending summer evenings volunteering at Friday Night Live! in Herndon.

     As a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO), I have received extensive training in working with individuals facing brain-based challenges like ADHD and chronic disorganization, as well as those dealing with OCD and hoarding tendencies. I'm a proud member of NAPO (National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals), and I strictly adhere to NAPO's Code of Ethics, particularly emphasizing professionalism, privacy, and confidentiality in all my working relationships.
